Careshore is a not-for-profit community services organisation operating out of the Bayside municipality in NSW, Australia.

Established in 1971 by two retired nurses wanting to make a difference in people’s lives, CareShore has grown to become a multi-faceted organisation offering a range of services in the areas of aged care, disability, youth support, family support, migrant and refugee support, counselling, and homelessness.

At CareShore, we believe in empowering each individual to live their best life. Whether it be through daily assistance, ad hoc care or lending a helping hand, our services enable people to take control of their lives and set the path for their future.

Our vision is to empower our individuals to live their best lives. CareShore contributes to a positive future for our community through providing opportunities in which people can enhance their quality of life. We give people the tools to shape their lives in a positive and meaningful way.

Our purpose and values

Our purpose is to give each client the tools and knowledge to live their best life. We value a strength-based practice whereby we collaborate with each individual, drawing on their strengths and assets to find the best solution for each situation. We believe that good relationships lie at the centre of our service, and true collaboration only exists when partners can decide on the best outcome together and achieve common goals along the way.

Our People

Diversity is at the core of what we do. Our service cannot exist without the diverse range of people we work with. As such we welcome all people regardless of lifestyle choices, culture, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation and gender identity.

We stand up for what we believe in, getting involved in the social justice and advocacy issues that impact the people we serve.

We are proud to be an employer that attracts a special kind of person, who is often willing to go above and beyond for the people we serve.
